The prompt is: What if you were the unwanted, unpicked "childhood friend" option in a dating sim? And what would it be like for the protagonist to realize he wanted to change his mind after?
DISCLAIMER: This is a very basic "GrovelCore" game. I made it over the course of a mental breakdown and finals.

GrovelCore: A genre of content focusing on characters/love interests who have somehow failed, offended, or hurt the MC with an emphasis on the love interest's attempts to win the MC back.
GrovelCore deals with themes of extreme psychological distress and nuance. It's intentionally developed for personal catharsis with an exaggerated, intentionally asshole-ish character. It's not meant to reflect any accurate depictions of these clearly adult scenarios and should be treated as Extreme Emotional Material. It's not intended and not for minors at all-- and I don't want minors playing it.

I loved this. The art is beautiful and the writing is incredibly witty. Highly recommend it for anyone who needs some catharsis from a toxic ex or enjoys subversive humor. Can't wait for the continuation of this work!!!

But I have two things I'd like to harp on (sorry) - Why do the characters fade in and out? It gets a little headache inducing after a while. Also, 'each other' are two words.
Small things, sure, but I've seen them come up in every single game, so I decided to say something here.

this is very accurate , I hate it. But good game and I like pathetic man, writing is great and would like to see this expanded upon in the future, very interesting.

Honestly, this was just so fun because it felt like some sort of finality. I have to say, I have a bias to the sweet mode mostly because it does feel like it has a part of my personality, I like how MC and the Protagonist conflict with one another now that MC has moved on from the plot and is no longer disillusioned by the dating sim. I love the general layout and the fact that the Protagonist is lowkey losing his shit and is desperate for the MC.
I'd love to see how their relationship used to be back in the dating sim (especially since the two modes must have given a different spice to the relationship) and I'd love to see what happens next if we do give the Protagonist a chance (mostly because he looks so pathetic and pitiful while also curious to see what sort of drama unfolds). Amazingly done~ Looking forward to what comes next!
I have been too entertained by this game. I didn't even realize how much I enjoyed playing and when I wanted to realize I had already passed everything. I'll be looking forward to every update you make; it's a very good project.

The game isn't able to progress after the "getting back together?" line. The music keeps playing but nothing else happens.
